Reading this message I realized that sometimes I acted not according to what I was feeling but according to the expectations of the others. Changing the way I was behaving but not my heart. All our lives we are taught how to act to please other people, to hide our feelings and thoughts, to gain something from people, and we do that even in church. But we are called not only to change on the outside but on the inside too. The battle against sin is in our mind, in our heart. If we have sinned in our heart, then we have sinned. We have to deal with sin at the root level – in our thought life - and it will not be able to destroy our life. Because in the end, if we are not careful, if we don’t stay close to God, sin will destroy our lives. Whatever we feed our heart and mind is what we will think about and what we will eventually be saying and doing. We think that we are strong and people cannot influence us but they can, and they can do it so easily. I was at a point of making a wrong decision but reading this message opened my eyes. I allowed thoughts that were not from God and I was ready to make a compromise, but God’s truth never changes. But everyday we need to fight for our thoughts and feelings, and live our lives as an example for others.
