I am interning in the outreach department with Pastor Daniel. In the past few weeks that I have begun my internship, I have seen the amazing things that God is doing in the lives of people outside the church on the streets. I have been learning how to run soul winning classes, how to set them up with supplies, and how things run behind the scenes in a major outreach. Our goal is to reach the city of Tampa with the good news of Gospel of Jesus, and it has been an honor for just this short period of time. Interning in the outreach department is more than just soul winning out on the streets, although that is a crucial part of it. There is a lot of back work to do first before that can be accomplished.
I have been learning how to contact pastors to get them onboard with the vision of winning the lost in their community. We call them, follow up with them, and visit their churches to help them establish the ground work. We also work with the bus routes and create fliers for cook outs and Bible studies in each community that we are targeting. It is so amazing to me to see what God is doing in every facet of this department. People are so willing and excited to help in seeing Tampa brought to the Lord, every cook out and Bible study we have, there is an altar call and people come rushing forward to give their hearts to Jesus, to surrender their all to Him. Literally, communities are being changed, crime rates are dropping in this city dramatically, and they are really growing in the things of God as they come to church. God is so faithful to fulfill His Word, Tampa will be saved!!!

Internship, at one time, was nothing more than an inaccessible enigma calling from the heights of impossibility. But by grace undeserved I was given the opportunity to embark on the beginning of a divine purpose so much larger than myself. Two weeks into this internship I had opportunities to minister the love of Jesus on a weekly basis to a community lost and forgotten. The community name is Sulpher Springs, but my partner and I believe that after the power of God transforms this place it will be like the Rose of Sharyn; like the Lilly of the Valley. On a daily basis I have the privilege of ministering the truths of God’s word to many people both near and far through prayer and communication. We help support and hold up the hands of the Man and Woman of God continually by endeavoring to walk out the vision divinely imparted to them.
This internship is a dream of mine being realized. I am pouring out of me what the Lord had sown into me even from infancy. I believe that I am walking out not only the call on my life, but putting my hand to the only cause that I have ever given myself too, and the only cause that truly matters. My one desire is that I receive from this the mind of God concerning the rest of the call on my life and the spiritual and practical wisdom to continue to minister not as I will but as he wills. “If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God” Colossians 3:1-3

Went to Glendale community college. It was on lunch time and students were in cafeteria. I met this group of 8 students while they were eating. I sat down with them and shared with them. 5 of them said the prayer with me. Also bus stop I prayed with a group of young people.
Our group had the awesome opportunity to lead 18 people to Christ. Many of which prayed the prayer were Spanish speaking. (Which none of us were) Although it was a bit challenging to communicate we simply asked them to read the card. We trust that the word read and declared will not return void! We praise God for multiplication of souls harvested as a result in Jesus’ name!

Our team of six went to a low income trailer park and spoke with 56 people. 36 received Christ. The testimony is that 99% spoke only Spanish and we had no one on our team that spoke any Spanish. We used the script in Spanish and followed them with the English side. They were so grateful and happy. Wow what a faith builder for our team.

This year in the River Bible School we have come to see the fruition of everyone’s efforts in soul winning in Tampa. All last year we went continually, week by week, to several communities to share the gospel with the people, love on them, and encourage them to become a part of the body of Christ.
As this school began in September I noticed that I would run into many people in these communities that I was seeing on Sunday’s at the River church! People would open their doors and greet me with “Oh I know you, you’re from the River; God bless you!” It went from finding many unsaved people in the communities the year before to now being able to barely find any at all who hadn’t heard and accepted the gospel message of salvation! Praise the Lord! The communities are visibly affected now as well.
There is joy and love evident everywhere and people are connecting to neighbors so much more now through the amazing bus ministry we have here at the River which picks up all the church goers for our “Main Event” service on Sunday mornings. I have been so blessed to see all of my seed come to growth in these people. Seeing people I have witnessed to last year now coming to church is something I cannot even describe in words! I can only liken what I am witnessing every week in the Tampa communities I visit to the parable of the sower who had an amazing harvest of fruit after sowing out the seed of the gospel of Christ.
The word of God truly changes people, families, and even communities all together. It is such a pleasure to go out now to these communities and share insight from the word of God, encourage and build up the believers, and pray for whatever needs they have it is daily ministry.

During a super soul winning Saturday a friend from school and I teamed up and went door to door in some apartments off of Fowler. The first door we came to was a woman sitting outside with her kids. I began to read the script and asked her to say a prayer after me. As soon as she said the part “I’m forgiven” she began to cry. She said that God was touching her and she believed what she said.
Right after that we went up to the next flight of stairs and we came to this woman’s house who said she was already saved but wanted to get baptized in the Holy Spirit. I began to tell her how important it was to have the Holy Spirit and I was telling her my friend would find a scripture in the Bible that confirmed what I had just said. She then repeated a prayer after us and asked the Holy Spirit into her heart. She said as soon as she said the prayer she felt like all the burdens were off her shoulder and that she didn’t feel pain or hurt anymore. We began to explain to her they were not our words, but His and that the Holy Spirit will keep her safe and guide her.
That day was such a great harvest. Our group saw many miracles that day including a blind woman seeing and kids putting their drugs down to give their hearts to the Lord.
